Leicester City are in talks to sign Belgium defender Wout Faes from French club Reims as they look to replace Chelsea-bound Wesley Fofana.
The 24 year-old is viewed as a swap for Wesley Fofana, whose transfer to Chelsea seems to be imminent.
Fofana is supposed to join the Blues before the summer transfer window shuts down at 23:00 BST on 1 September
Faes, 24, is evaluated at around £15m and has been with Reims beginning around 2020, having come through the ranks at Anderlecht.
Faes is broadly viewed as a rising star in French football and has been connected with both Newcastle United and Torino over the summer.
He made his Belgium debut as a substitute in a Nations League game against Poland in June.
Faes has shown up for Reims this season and played 37 association games for them last season
his impressive displays earning him the club's 2021-22 Player of the Season award.
The defender got through the institute positions at Anderlecht with City midfielder Youri Tielemans
Reims defender Wout Faes has "agreed" a five-year contract with Leicester City, according to reports.
